Change … it can be good.

Fall 2021 … the time has come to announce some exciting changes!

“Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together” ~James Cash Penny (Founder of J.C. Penny stores - 1902)

This quote is so very true. WSG could not be achieving the growth that we are without excellent admin support and excellent reporters. I have been so very blessed to have BOTH.

But time marches on, and Erica is advancing to the “internship/shadowing” portion of her court reporting school journey - which means she’s working on passing her 200s! I’m so incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication that she has put into testing and accuracy. I have thoroughly enjoyed celebrating every little victory along the way with her :) She won’t be leaving us-leaving us for a while yet … but she’ll just be interning and training our new help to handle the job more and more each day so that our transition is easier.

Since we knew that interning on depositions and court work was going to be taking more of her time, we have planned ahead and decided to bring on ANOTHER student (brand new student at College of Court Reporting - same school as Erica!) to help us on a full-time basis.

I must admit, it took me a hot minute to face the idea of “losing” Erica to a real job - but her progress with school is undeniable, and I knew her time with us would be short. She’s destined for very big things for sure.

If you happen to speak with Erica, be sure to congratulate her on her progress in school, and thank her for her contribution to WSG.

You’ll be introduced to Claire in the next post. Over the past month she has been training part time - transitioning into things, and learning the ropes and getting to know our reporters and clients. She will officially start November 1 on a full-time basis. She is our first full-time employee, so our growth is undeniable. I have full confidence that she is going to be a WONDERFUL addition to WSG, and I am completely excited about getting to be a reporter more often, seeing clients, and building relationships to grow the business — all while passing on the other day-to-day office responsibilities to very competent help.

Check out the next post to meet Claire . . . ~ Whit
