Join GCRA for one of our Upcoming Zoom Coffee Hours!
The GCRA Board would like to invite you to join us for coffee (via Zoom, of course)! During this time when we all wish we were chatting up a conference room full of attorneys at a deposition - or loving our life in the courtroom - we find ourselves (most of us) looking for something to do … people to talk with who understand what we’re going through.
The Board of GCRA has been looking for ways to have everyone meet - bring the Georgia reporting scene together - UNIFY us. Brenda Elwell, our president, has been holding socials throughout the state, where we can come together and have a drink (or two … or three) and talk shop or talk whatever, and with the current situation, we thought this type meeting would be FUN! We are really the only people who understand what we do - the stresses our job brings - the workarounds we think of to get dinner on the table or keep moving for our health. We’ve been apart for too long, and it’s time to get to know your fellow reporters in the state.
I encourage everyone to go now and join the GCRA Facebook page - it’s open, regardless of whether you are a member or not; but we will be posting the “coffee” invites on both the GCRA page and the GA Reporters page for signup. We would like to limit the coffee groups so that we can truly chat - so be sure to sign up QUICKLY! If you miss signing up for this one, don’t worry - we will be having more!
